Public trusts MSM more than NM: Survey

A recent Ipsos Reid survey shows that 69 per cent of Canadians have trust in mainstream media (MSM – newspapers, newsmagazines, television and radio news) compared to 41 per cent who have the same trust in New Media (NM: blogosphere, Internet, social sites.) The negatives are more significant: 31 per cent don’t have very much or no trust in MSM, versus 59 per cent who feel the same way about NM.
