On-line letters to the editor

London Free Press columnist Paul Berton notes that using the paper’s web site allows it to print 16,600 letters to the editors/comments on letter a year, as opposed to the 6,000 a year that make it onto the printed page. Interesting tip for aspiring letter writers: letters submitted to the website are likely to see them posted more quickly than those sent by that slower technology, e-mail.
